Better known by cinnamon crepes if you're from somewhere other than South Africa.
Ingredients
- 250 ml, flour
- 2ml, salt
- 5ml, baking powder
- 250 ml water
- 1 egg
- 5 ml lemon juice
- 25 ml cooking oil
- 50 ml, additional water
- cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle over pancakes
- Sift all dry ingredients together.
- Beat eggs, water, oil and lemon together. Mix wet and dry ingredients.
- Pour the mixture into a jug and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Add additional water to the dough and stir until smooth.
- Heat one tablespoon. in a non-stick pan.
- Pour a small amount of batter into the pan, just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Fry until bubbles appear on the surface, then turn it over to the other side.
- Sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on top of the pancakes while it was still hot. Repeat steps 6-7 until the dough is finished. Serve warm.
